It's all apart, including the 16 allen-head plugs (3-each on the 2 out-sides). The one from underneath had a thick congealed glop of goo. Also, the 2 thermal relief valves. You can see the 2 thermal relief screens by the hex-headed valves. No getting them out intact- they're just 'screen', no rubber perimeter.
Ready for the hot-tank!

If you guys haven't spotted them yet, the 2 piston sleeve seal rings (#5 on the exploded view) lurk within the bore, here shown with the boot removed.

And my poor boots! All 4 are sewn-leather, and all 4 intact. I'll have to see if IH has rubber replacements, but I'd kinda like to see if I can clean these up and reuse them.

One last thing- this is what a 'seat' in my right check-valva bore looks like. Yours look like this? I wonder if this is what the "coining tool" on page 22 is designed to fix.

Congrats! I see from our earlier posts that you removed the regulator valve seat with the drag link socket, good deal. I'll stop by Napa this morning.

Yes, you can get new boots from your dealer. The control valve boots are rubber and the piston boots are still leather. All four of mine were shot, requiring replacement.

I'm pretty sure the the "coining" tool will repair your seat, I need to inspect all the seats in my block today.

I just received Hugh MacKay's 3 point hitch plans, they are very detailed and it looks like a nice addition to our SA. But first, putting the tractor back together!

Well, I've just had another bash at removing my pressure regulator bushing and failed. That thing is really going to annoy me before long. Certainly doesn't want to come out. Not my evening, hole saw was too blunt, the new oil pressure gauge for my Massey uses a different type of fitting than what's on the line, and that bushing is refusing to come out. Oh well, try again tomorrow.

My boots were all fairly dry and in pretty good shape so I don't think I'll even look at replacing them. Good luck on yours. tractorsam
