I worked on this restoration for 15 years off & on and finally got it done. Work inside and out was done to this tractor. It has fast hitch, belt pulley and power steering but incorrect wide front.

There is nothing wrong with the wide front on your tractor, it may not be an orginal IH but it is an acceptable front end for that model and year tractor. Your tractor looks great, maybe the TRACTOR POLICE need to take a better look at their own to see what they have adapted or used that is not right.

What, are you a clairvoyant? How would you know in 1993 that the SMTAD would be the top collectible in 2008? Let me guess, you bought it for less than 1500 dollars? Good foresight and very nice work.

I think your tractor loos terrific.I couldn't see myself devoting 15 years to it getting it finished up.As for the wide front,there is nothing wrong with it,its an aftermarket front end made to fit a Super M.

Incorrect says who? Maybe not the factory wide front, but by most accounts, they were pretty lame. They surface from time to time in the photo ads, usually for a few hundred bucks, if you want to be a stickler :-)

Seems to me that you have done a very nice job on that tractor. Thanks for the picture.
