What year/series Farmall was the first to NOT have steel wheels as a factory option?

Thanks,
Glenn F.

The 1934-1939 O-12 (orchard member of the Farmnall F-12, W-12 family) were, by default, on pneumatic tyres. There was an option in the parts book of zero-pressure wheels but have never seen one so fitted and the owners manuals did not mention such options.

Athol: The W-12 and 0-12 were not Farmalls and the F-12 was offered with steel as an option.

How about the Farmall A in 1939? I don't recall ever seeing one with steel wheels.

Ford 312: As he asked his question, you are correct. FIRST IH TRACTOR NOT HAVING STEEL AS AN OPTION, would be the Farmall A and the year would be 1939. There were steel wheels around for the Farmall A and Super A but they were not a IH factory option.

The last tractor to show steel wheels as an option would be quite different.

The F706 and F806 were the last Farmalls to offer factory steel as far as I know. You could still get steel wheels thru the parts department for likes of Farmall 404, 505, 656, etc as they had same axle size as H & M and those wheels were available into the 70's as parts department attachments.
