I need a front grill and surrounding sheet metal for an early 140, but I'm having trouble finding a source online. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

I don't mind looking for used ones, but I was hoping to find a reproduction. This tractor has had extra bags of fertilizer hauled on the hood when working long rows and the fertilizer dropping down rusted out the nose piece.

I know this isn`t alot of help, but there`s a fellow in Kentucky who specializes in the Super A`s - 140`s. He sells whole tractors and also parts them out. His name is Dean Hinton. I think the name of his town is Carlisle-I could be wrong though. He also does business on ebay as harvester45 and you could contact him that way, too.I know the grill shells and grills, for that matter are hard to come by for the early 140`s. I actually have a grill(no shell) thats a 5 out of 10 (straight ,but some pitting), that I`d sell you if you can`t find anything better. Good luck,Mark

Wesley, does it have to be online? If so, it could be a long time coming.

Near as I can tell, nobody is reproducing the sheet metal for these tractors at this time. OEM has 100/130 sheet metal, but that won't help unless you want to make it into a 100 or 130. The 130 grill isn't even close.

Your best bet is to start calling around to salvage yards, first in your area, then further away.

How bad is yours? Considering what a usable salvage 140 grill will cost and how difficult it may be to find., it may be worth your while to attempt a fix on the one you have.
