Some photo ads are really humorous!! Makes me laugh all day!! There is a W9 "Farmall" listed. Fisrt, there never was a W9 "Farmall". They are McCormick or McCormick Deering. Then it says complete. The picture plainly shows it comes without starter or tires. Granted the completely worn out tires are there, but not useable. Again, it's laughable.

farmalls were made by the thousands,theres a lot of mccormicks out there that are made in fewer #s and are 4 and 5 star rated , compared to the every day farmall other than the regular.every farmall i see here is missing the fenders. must be miserable working in field like that.

If ya look close at the picture it appears there's a starter lying just above where the battery box should be, right behind where the starter bolts on.

I think his description of "complete" is accurate. It's a $500 antique tractor, and apparantly nothing major or hard to find is missing. Most people in the antique tractor world buying something like this to restore would expect to have to buy new tires(and wiring harness, battery, spark plugs, etc etc etc) for it anyway.

Now, if he'd advertised it as "ready for work", then it'd be different.

As for the "Farmall" vs "McCormick" in the ad title...yep...he's technically mistaken there...but heck, around here lots of the old-timers refer to F-20's as "Internationals". I don't think anyone reading that ad title would be confused as to what kinda tractor he's really selling.

I agree that Farmall is well enough known that no one is confused, but it still bugs me when a standard tread is called a Farmall! :)
