How come whenever I go to our tractor pulls it seems like the C's & Super C's outpull anything in it's class? Just by seeing this I think I might add one of these to the collection. :>)

Good question. They are certainly "honest" tractors. I was at an antique pull last week where two Super C's full-pulled and had to do it again with more weight. The one that won needs some engine work but just kept on reaching down for more power. The front end came up a little and the driver went the last 12 feet steering with the brakes.

What Deeres would the SC give a run for the money? Any AC's it could beat?

Some of those A-C guys are able to get the WD's and WD-45's down in weight and these A-C's are quite powerful. If a guy has a heavily weighted Super C and ends up in the same class, he won't do much good. If he can stay in the right class, he'll do fine. Can't tell you about those JD's even though I've had some and have one now. Some really pull and others are enigmas. A Super C should have a good go against a JD H but probably not a B. It all depends on the pulls, the rules and how the tractors are set up. But those C's and Super C's seem to be pretty consistent tractors.

I'm really glad to hear great comments like this. I am in the process of restoring a '51 super C and am looking forward to running it.

ya i like my super c, so much i have turned down a couple of chances to trade it for a tractor with 3pt hitch (which if i was smart i would of done it) but i just like the way the red tractor pulls all it can, an then some just to prove it can... when restorian your tractor make sure u tell em u got a Super C cause it makes such a diffence, the c an super c have different engine sizes, which if the "right" part is put on, u can come up with a chewed up piece of metal... see it done before. currently i am havin to replace my radiator cause it is off of a C, the super C takes a slightly larger radiator, two inches larger... which makes my sheetmetal look like crap cause it is not lined up right... but good luck on your farmall.
