I have a '49 TO-20 that was my father-in-law's for 42 years. Serial No. 5538. He bought it in 1952 and was the second owner. It had headlights that neither he, the original owner or the dealer installed. It was delivered to the dealer with headlights. The brackets that looks like a wings, one is on the hood and one has fallen off. Which I do have.

Headlights were on the no. 1 and the first few units to come off the line according to pictures of the assy line in Detroit. I suspect these were for the opening of the line and publicity, and after that they were installed per Paul(AZ) description.

Headlights were usually an option for all Ferguon tractors. Generally they were added by the dealer before they were retailed or the buyer added them at the time of sale or even afterwards.

I have a '54 TEa 20 and the head lights appear original. But... the mounts have a wing like detail that remind me of the old Lighted Pontiac hood ornament!

Headlamps...TO-30...I am assuming same lamps would have been fitted to TO-30..? Could they have been the same style lamp and bracket as fit-ted to Ford Tractors? I have noticed adverts. for "exact" repros. of lamps, etc.
