What is the difference between a To-35 and a To-35 Deluxe? I found a To-35 that is in excellent condition front to back. Serial number is 200132. I think (not sure) that this might be a MF-35. But how do I tell for sure?? Thanks, Jim

It is a TO-35 "Special" . They sold for around 950.00 (I think) in 1959 with no tachometer The only option was lights. I bought one (1959 model TO-35 special) from a farmer (neighbor) in 1989. Wow! what great buy! Best 2,200 Dollars I ever spent. Dont be afraid of the single stage clutch, It still is a very useful Tractor. I use mine for Finnish Mowing,Bush Hogging, Post hole drilling, plowing, etc. Great Tractor. mine even still has the "generator on it" Gregg

This would be a 1959 TO 35. As Phil mentioned in his response you can tell if it is a Deluxe by the dual clutch action or the prefix of the Serial #; SGM followed by serial # is a gas deluxe (dual clutch), SGF followed by serial # is a gas special (single clutch, SDM serial # is a diesel dual clutch. This year was Red tin w/flint gray cast.

If it has the two-stage clutch, it is a Deluxe. That is, if you can depress the clutch half way, to a slight notch you feel with your foot and it stops the tractor but does not stop the PTO, then you have the Deluxe (live PTO). You also can tell by the prefix to the serial number.
