What is the correct size steel tubing for the fuel line on a '58 TO35? The fellow that had it before me put a rubber hose on it.I can't find any fuel lines in any parts catalogs.

I replaced my TE-20 Fuel line last year. I took the old line off went to the auto parts store and they matched it up with a new straight tube with fittings etc. ($3.00) Went home and carefully worked the new tube to match the old tube.

Only problem I have is that I made the fuel tube in nice straight lines with graceful bends and turns..... Not the bugger vibrates like crazy. I had to use electrical tape to dappen the vibe mode before I fatigue it.

I had the same problem with a TO35 I bought to restore. I was lucky enough to find a NOS fuel line for a 35. It is 1/4" od. and 26 1/4" long give or take a 1/4". I would buy a 1/4" od. steel line with the ends already flared and the fittings on it 26" or 27" long and start bending.
