Hi there, a little history question.

Does anyone know where the factory was located that produced the TO series tractors ?

I know it is in Detroit, and some places it says Dearborn.
I live in Norway, but have been driving up Telegraph road and visited the Henry Ford Museum, it would have been fun to know a little more in detail where the factory was located.

And what is there today, is it still a tractor plant there, producing Massey Ferguson tractors.

All the best from Bill

Bill-
The original 9N's were built at the Ford Rouge Plant. After WWII, around 1945, they moved (now the 2N) tractor operations to the Highland Park Plant, where the Model T's were made. In 1967 they closed Highland park and moved to the rural surroundings of Romeo, Michigan where they lasted until late 80's when they changed that plant to the Romeo Engine Plant. Harry Ferguson assembled his TO20's in Dearborn. The M-F plant on Southfield closed in the 80's also and moved to Canada. Did you see the museum and the first 9N?

Bill, The address I was given was:-
Harry Ferguson Inc. Ferguson Park, Southfield Road, Detroit, Michigan. As far as I know they do not produce tractors at that location anymore.
Not seen you posting here for a while....John

Hi John,

Well, I have found southfield road, and right now I regret I did not think about finding this place when I was in Dearborn last year. I was sooooo close, Southfield road, I probably drove on that road too, when we left The Henry Ford Museum, because it runs straight through Greenfield Village.

Of course, Southfield Rd. is a long road, and it could really be north of and south of Greenfield Village.
