Greetings, I cleaned the sediment bowl and gasket was bad so replaced it. When I tighten the bowl screw no gas comes out, I lossen it a little and gas comes. Looked up there and gas comes from inside (non-seal area) don"t understand.
If I tighten the bowl so it doesn"t leak, no gas. If I loosen it the bowl leaks.
Any ideas ?
Thanks,
Ron

Ron,

That is a sign of a good tight seal. When you open the valve the air in the bowl is trapped and has no place to go.

You can 1) loosen the bowl to "create" a leak to let the air out then tighten the bowl back up.
or
2) lossen the carb drail and the air will be sucked down the fuel tube into the carb and will escape into the air inlet tube.

You do not have a problem.

Jeff

Ron; There should be a drain plug on the carburator. Loosen that untill you get a good flow of gas thru the carb. This will bleed the air out of the fuel line and carb.
