Looks good, Is that the same paint you had started to experiment with when I picked up the plow and cultivator?

Hi Rocky. Yep - same paint. I found it to be the closest to the shde of gray that I could find.

Got those cultivators all ready yet?

Thanks. I used Rustoleum #1982 Winter Gray. It was as close to what I was looking for as I could find. Looks a bit lighter in the pics because of the camera flash.

Nice looking work! What did you use to degrease it?

Thank you. I used a putty knife, a paring knife, an old steak knife, a nail for the smallest nooks and crannies, then cleaned off what was left with brake cleaner and clean rags. It helped that it had basically never been re-painted except for the crappy hit and miss job on the wheel rims (and tires) that a previous owner did. When I was done, the engine block looked like red primer.

Thanks Mike. No time better to get started than right now. Don't want to wait until the weather's too hot to paint. I've got another project lined up, so I've been working pretty steady on it after work and weekends. LOTS of hours in prep work.

i probably won't get to work on the to-20 now til next fall or winter. i did get it in the shop the end of this past winter but that was about the time my wife put her foot down about getting some work done on this house. now it's almost hayin' time, and then we'll probably scoot up to canada for a big part of the summer, then second cut on the hay and after that it'll be deer season.

It ran ok, but needed a tune-up something fierce. Bad plug wires that arced and provided weak spark. Plugs weren't gapped right either. Also 6V system had been changed to negative ground, which I will change back to positive ground. Should run fantastic (I'm hoping). I also had restricted fuel flow from rust in the gas tank. I tried running seafoam and MMO in it, but it really needed to be cleaned out better than snake oil could do. I took the tank to my local radiator shop and had them boil it out. Just got it back yesterday and it looks to have cleaned up pretty good.

Wow! Nice job. 8 weeks?! It took me all winter to fix up my 30, and it's not even close to being that pretty.

I looked it up. It was March 24, 2007 when I picked it up and brought it home. Been working on it just about every spare minute. Gotta finish it up so I can get started on my 1958 641 Ford Workmaster.

Other side. I still have a lot of work left. Install wiring harness, hook up lights, etc.

Here's the TO 30 the day I brought her home 6 weeks (8 weeks?) ago. I can't remember.
