Anthony,s post down below got me thinking,(Dangerous i know) are there supposed to be any spacers between the block and rad support. When i did my clutch this summer i took the front end all apart, as the rad support was all cracked where it bolted to the block, former owner had 3 washers on all four bolt holes.I figured that was maybe why the support was cracked so i took them out and welded up the cracks.

All pretty tight now but the other day i sheared off the shaft that drives the front mounted pump for the loader, i had these shafts made up with threads this time instead of the key ways i usually use, and got to thinking maybe every thing was so tight and it needed some play, dunno know.

Now after seeing Anthony,s post it got me wondering if maybe i should put the washers back in.I can,t find anything in my manual on it, thanks.

If you have a TO30 you should have a 1/4 inch spacer on the right side only between the engine and axle support. On the TO20 this spacer extends up higher and is the generator mounting bracket. When I got my TO20, the previous owner had taken the generator bracket out and bolted up the axle support direct to the engine. There was a bit of tension on the support when I loosened the bolts due to the missing spacer. Who knows what this slight warping of the support wuold have done over a long time.
