Over the weekend I had the TE-20 out and participated in the Local X-mas tree lighting parade.

I built a Carry-All with a bench so the Wife and Kid can participate.

When I got back to the car it was stuck in the up position.

Same thing happened on Sunday when I used the Carry-All to haul fire wood.

All three times it corrected itself once I got the weight off the Carry-all

Would putting the top link in tension cause the control fork to get stuck?

Does If the top link is in tension... Is the load reacted out the top link joint such that the draft control rod movement is limited? I have to look...

Jeff, No, putting the top link in tension should not cause the control fork to get stuck. I do it all the time with my TO-30 and I don"t have a problem lowering the hitch. Either the lift cylinder is binding or the control valve is. I"d suspect the latter.

Does your top link spring turn by hand? If not, maybe it is too tight or stuck.

I can't answer your question, but I was wondering, what is a "carry all"?
