Hi Folks,In 1951,my daddy bought a TO20 Ferguson to farm with his brother who later bought a TO30. Both are still running.Pop is 84 years old and I would like to start a resoration on his 20. How is the parts availability for this tractor? I am doing a Ford 8N now and I am amazed at the parts you can get for that tractor. The sheet metal is in good shape, lights are rusted out, brackets broken, that sort if thing. The lift works well but I am sure it could use some tweaking. There is a lot of slop in the steering, wheels, etc. I know that all or at least most of the bushing throughout are original.I am just checking to see how hard it will be to find the stuff I need, and I hope this forum is as helpful as the 8n one is, I will need a lot of help.

Ricky, most parts you need are available new. Some of the hood sheet metal is hard to find though. Ebay typically has TO parts for sale at any given time. This site has many parts.

I am currently reworking a "50 TO-20 with a Howard and Hupp. Thus making it a good candidate for resto and future use. I am in the sl-o-o-w stages of putting it back together and incorporating modifications along the way. Today I drilled one of three drain plugs with a hole sideways through the threads so that when i loosen the plug in the springtime or whenever, the water from condensation will drain without having to fully remove the drain plug.

The water that you think is condensation is very often not this at all, it is water that has entered the system through the bottom of the gear lever and through the Draft Control Spring behind the seat. You need a rubber boot on the gear lever and a new felt seal on the Draft Spring.....John

Felt seals being what they are I have opted for the unsightly plastic trash bag (On my 9N) draped over the tractor covering the rear spring. This in conjunction with a new shift boot installed has stopped the direct water flow. The Fergy still sits in a few hundrerd more pieces, waiting for me to get busy with it.

This side is certainly quieter than the N forum but there's still some first rate help to be had from very knowledgable folks.
I'm embarking on TEA20 ownership and haven't found too many items which are not available from one source or another. It's not that I need alot at the moment but I'm enjoying trolling various sites to see what's out there. I'd imagine it's going to be the same for the TO. Some of the sheet metal may be a challenge but even that probably isn't surmountable. Post about a specific part or question and I'm sure you'll find what you need.

Welcome!
