I've lost my manifold. I'm restoring my dad's TO30 and can't find the manifold. I have a neighbor boy clean up my shop about once a month and I suspect he has thrown it away, but I don't know. I've looked everywhere, no manifold. Does anybody know where I can get one without buying an after market one? Any help will be appreciated.
Lou

I got a repro manifold for the TO20 from this site, and although it was different from the original, it was an excellent casting and worked great. The casting for the bearing housing on the PTO shaft assembly I got here was not nearly as nice with lots of voids. It will work but not nearly as impressive as the manifold. Jack

You could just call a salvage yard. Should have some unexpensive ones

Lewis-
Just to let you know, user MattMalcome1 posted a week or two ago stating that he is parting out some Fergusons, I think one was a TO30. His post is 2 or 3 pages back. I bet he would have a manifold for you.

Thanks Lance. I'm buying some other parts from Matt but he doesn't have a manifold.

Ebay or tractor junk yard are about your only options for an original manifold. My guess is most are going to be rusted REAL bad. I installed a new after market manifold a few years back. I think the original style does look better, more "streamlined" or whatever, but once you lower the hood, can't tell the difference. The after market ones have a few bolts that are tough to get a wrench on the them, but the fit is good.

I've been thinking about an after market manifold but I wanted it as original as possible. I may have to go that route.
Thanks

Just wondering, why do you wish not to go with a new manifold? Unless you can find a "new old stock" unit, any used manifold is just waiting to crack the first time you bolt it up.

Thier appearance is considerably different and I'm restoring this tractor for appearance, I'm probably not going to use it, certainly not much anyway, but I'm not ruling out using an aftermarket manifold, I just want to see what I can get original.
Thanks

You do have to be patient as they do come up from time to time. I have a good one I purchased. I want to use it to replace the one on my TE-20. The TE-20 does have a weld repair.

Hey the hunt for the perfect part is half the fun.

Letting people know what you want/need is also a good way to go.

Yeah, I've had two people e-mail me with exactly what I want but the price is more than I want to pay. I can get an after market much cheaper. The decision I have to make is how badly do I want to keep it original. Not unlimited funds if you know what I mean. Ha.

If you get a new aftermarket one, check as best you can in the passages for chunks of slag or other junk. I fished out a fairly large chunk of metal slag from one of the passages on mine before I put it on. My TO20 seems to run better with the new style manifold, either from new gaskets or better design I'm not sure.
