DRAIN LIFT HOUSING,REFILL 3 OR 4 GALLONS KEROSENE OR DEISEL FUEL.START TRACTOR AND USE LIFT AND/OR REMOTE VALVES SEVERAL TIMES.DO NOT DRIVE OR MOVE THE TRACTOR. LET THE SYSTEM WARM UP FOR SEVERAL MINUTES AND CONTINUE OPERATING THE CONTOLS.BLEED THE PUMP TO REMOVE AIR FROM THE SYSTEM.THIS WILL FLUSH DIRT AND MOISTURE OUT OF THE SYSTEM.IF THE PUMP AND OTHER COMPONETS ARE OKAY THE SYSTEM SHOULD SPEED UP AND WORK PROPERLY.DRAIN SOLVENT AND REFILL WITH NEW OIL. HAVE DONE THIS MANY TIMES WITH GOOD RESULTS.

Agree with Jeff. Get the Manuals - - 3 of them. and get originals from dealer or copies - not offbrand ones. 1. Operater Manual 2. Repair Manual 3. Parts Manual. You need all 3 if you are going to do any of your own work. Sometimes only the Parts Manual with its exploded views will bail me out.

Hey Billy.
I'm no hyd. expert but Iv owned a few old tractors and currently have a '64' Ford 4000 Ind. that I work on from time to time. My 2Cs is this: go on line here and buy an I&T manual that includes your model tractor or contact Jen-Sales on the internet for a copy of the original. Read up on the hyd system, trouble shoot it then decide if you want to tackle it. At the very least you will arm yourself with some hyd knowlege. Then you'll know what you are dealing with. Good luck, hope this helps.
