'62 4000 injector pump and tachometer questions

2 question subjects:
I have a 62-63 4000, 4 cyl. diesel. The injector pummp is seeping a little from the "cap" that the injector lines run into. Should I worry? Will I need a replacement new/used or rebuild the old one? Where can I look for a replacement or rebuild? Haven't seen it in the YT online store.

My tachometer doesn't work. It just jumps a little (eighth of an inch or so). Since it is jumping I am guessing that the cable is OK. Does this mean I need a new tachometer? Where to get one of these? I did not see those in the YT online store either.

Thanks,
Chris Stamey

Following should be a link to pictures of the injector pump with more description of the problem.

Could someone tell me the difference between a car tachometer and a motorcycle tach? Thank you!! I have tried other sites and no one can answer. Thanks, Annie

There are guys on here that have a lot more experience than me with diesel, so they're also more qualified to answere the first question.

As to the proofmeter, it still could be the cable, the broken ends may be rubbing together enough to make it 'jump'. It only takes a pair of pliers to undo the cable at either end to check it, that would be the first thing to check, otherwise it is likely the proofmeter itself. New cables are available from your Ford/New Holland dealer.
