I am looking for a diagram for the hydralic pump on a 2000 series 1973 tractor. I rebuilt the pump and I have two problems. First it vibrates going up or down. fuilds are full. Secondly it leaks when loaded and fuild runs out. I would really appreciate your help with this vexing problem.

Help

Bill

Bhalstea,

I have a hardcopy I&T manual and a parts manual on CD for my 1973 Ford 2000. Is that the kind of diagram you had in mind? My local Ford/NH dealer will print pages out of his parts manual whenever I ask. I don't ask since I got my own parts manual, but I had him print out some for me before I got my manual.

I recently had a leak from my hydraulic pump on my tractor. It was caused by a worn out nut assembly on the pump end of the pressure tube. Do you remember for sure if you replaced it when you rebuilt the pump?

Let me know if you'd like for me to scan a picture for you.

Good luck,

Tom in TN

I might well be wrong but I thought that rebuilding these pumps takes special (no-longer-made) tools. Just my impression from previous posts; suggest that you look thru the archives for add'l info.
HTH,
Matt
