I have a 1971 Ford 3000, Britsh Model. It has an attachment on the rear of the tractor. Not sure what it is. It has its own set of lift arms, but is dependant on the main 3 point to lift it whne it is dropped.

DR Darren said: (quoted from post at 03:06:40 01/17/08) would it be for a pintle hitch or just put the tip of the hook in he ball location of the hitch?

i found the part on the new holland parts page. its showing a draw bar too. it it possible to have a draw bar attachment?

On a Ford 2000 or 3000 it is not possible to have a drawbar and pickup hitch mounted at the same time because the forward mounting bracket is common to both attachments. The ground clearnce on these tractors with 28" tyres would be too low. However the pick up hitch for the 4000 and 5000 fits below the standard drawbar.

its a quick hitch...

however it looks as if its missing something as it appears to drop too far down... but i have never seen one locally..only in books..i think you are missing some chains that only allow the hitch to drop so for down from the under belly.. or something similar but thats just a guess..

remove it and sell it if you wish...

I've never even heard of such an attachment.
Does it have a lift handle of it's own?
How much weight will it lift?
I don't see how you could add a standard 3000 drawbar along with that.
Any chance you could email me some more pictures of that attachment.
YTmag(bless their heart) leaves a lot to be desired as an image hoster.

It is a pickup hitch used to hook up and unhook trailers without getting off the tractor. I have only seen 1 here in the US, it was on a 5610.
