Here is a photo of my front weight system that I made from scrap steel and some rear wheel weights. The side pieces are 1.5" angle iron and the piece across the front is 2.5"X.5" flat plate. The piece of pipe is 4" diameter. I use the pipe to hold each weight while I get the bolts started through the holes. The long bolts are .75". Each of the weights weighs about 100 lbs and a script "EnFo" is cast into it. Someone once posted on this website that EnFo stands for English Ford which is possible because the guy I got the weights from had a hood off of a Dexta.

Looks good. I'm assuming the bolts go throught the 1/2" plate so the weights don't bounce or slide off, right? Guess I should have hung onto the wheel wieghts like those I bought a couple years ago at an auction. Paid something like $15 per plate, and a guy offerd me $50 per a few days later, so I sold them, since they didn't match any of my wheel bolt patterns.

Yes, those bolts are 10" long as I recall. Fortunately the pad on the front of the bolster that the flat piece of steel is bolted to is actually extended slightly forward from the remainder of the bolster so there is a gap between the steel plate and the bolster on each side of center. The heads of those long bolts fit in that gap between the bolster and the steel plate.

Yep,
A good job of making do with what you have.
One I'd be glad to call my own.
