Hi,
I bought a fordson major a month ago and I found a serial# on the firewall in front of the battery, the number is:1231021. Can anybody tell me from what year she is? It is a 4 cilinder gas motor. And I would like to know where I can find the number on the motor.

I am now getting to be an expert on these things, it looks like yours is a 1957, there is a lot of info at www.warthog.demon.co.uk/fordson%20major.htm

Where can I get parts for the loader and backhoe.Looks like I need a chain or something to connect the pump gear to the gear on the front of the engine. Thanks
