Hey all, Someone loosened the wrong screw on the dexta we have here and it wouldnt go back in,they thought it might be the oil level check becuase there was oil around it. They removed it and it seems that is pushing against something but will not tread again, like maybe something on the inside has moved down or up covering the whole??
What could it be???
The screw is located on the right side (if sitting in seat, in the general hyrdaulic & transmission region. Between what looks like a circular plate and the brake pedal rods and stuff, it is approx. below the hydraulic arms position lever and about 5 or 6 inches from the platfrom where your feet go. It is a single screw on its own and is quite noticable compared to the others and also has a washer on it. What was this attached to? and how can it be fixed? I dont want to start the tractor incase it is really important

My neighbor had this problem. We stuck a small diameter phillips screwdriver into the hole and lined up the internal parts and luckily they stayed put until we were able to start the bolt. Now he is very paranoid about reading and understanding the manual. Good luck

I think the screw holds the intake filter for the hydraulic pump in the transmission housing. You may be able to hold it up by reaching thru the plate on the otherside where the pto lever is attached.
