Super Dexta Oil Leaks

I am rebuilding a 1963 Super Dexta. I have the Perkins running fine now, but noticed several oil leaks. (It has been sitting for many years). The main one that bothers me is the shaft that the brake pedal is mounted on. Is there an easy way to correct this leak, or does it entail breaking the tractor apart (again). The other leaks are around the rear wheel shafts. Any ideas? (I suspect that I will end up taking the rear end apart, pulling the oil seals and having them made).

The brake leak is easy, just drain the oil, remove the entire brake shaft, fit new seals and reinstall. Can be done within the hour easily. The tractor does not have to be split for that. The rear wheels also require you to drain the oil, remove the wheels and fit new seals. That is a bigger job, I'm afraid, one that Brian can tell you more about I think.

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping that would be the answer (on the brake rod). As for the rear wheels, it looks to be a mite harder. The book calls for chiseling off a collar, replacing the bearings, etc. and pounding on a new collar. I think that I will wait a while before tackling that.

We have this little jewel running. It sure runs and shifts well. I am VERY happy with this tractor. I like it better than my 1959 Ford 841.
