Just got my new manual from yt. Was looking to be enlightened a little more about 3 pt problem. It seemed to work fine without a load. I put a ford 501 sickle bar mower on and I can not get it to move up more than 3-5 inches. It seems to be getting progressiley worse as far as having to rev up the rpms to get to raise it that far.

I have some leakage out of the top of what looks like the unloading valve. I've changed the oil out in rear ..it was creamy in color...

I've seen discussions on removing an inspection plate but the manual isn't clear on which plate that is. Any help on how to proceed would be appreciated.

i was looking at a 59 fordson major diesel , but it did not have a PTO. All that there was , was a metal plate over the place where the PTO would go.Also instead of a three point hitch there was two hydraulic legs on the back , where the two bottom parts of the three point hitch would go. the arms were like the ones on a back hoe , on the side that would stabilize the back hoe, but these were on the back. it just had a hitch for a wagon and the two arms. i would like to know if i could put a PTO and a three point hitch on the tractor. if you have any info on this please write back. Thanks Jack

Hi

If you had a fax number I could send you scanned pages from my shop manual on the hydraulic system. Don't tell the copyright cops though. :)
