Omar,

I have the same tractor. It came with the house (good reason why). It too had been sitting for quite sometime, and not near as good of shape as you describe yours being. It had 3 flats, missing belts, froze starter, carb rebuild, new key switch and a little of this and that. It had the tiller attatchment as well. I didint have much time to fart around and was able to get her up and run'n. Still runs great to this day, and she work hard the first 5 yrs. then I bought a Fergy TO-35. Now the MTD does nutt'n but grass. Hey, good luck with the axle.

Steve

MTD made so many types of mowers with same front end that you should be able to find a old one that fits. They are not hard to change.

Ask around and find a good welder in your area. Very likely a pro can weld it up good as new!
