*Warning - Tractor Forum newbie*

I have a 1974 John Deere 112 that I bought last winter. It had a small oil leak due to the fact that the fuel pump gasket was installed upside-down.
Since it was winter, and I was bored, I decided to pull the engine and repair the leak (I didn't know it was coming from the fuel pump until after I pulled the engine). I also disasembled the mower deck and I'm in the process of rebuilding the spindles. I had layed all the parts out in a quasi-logical order (back in March) so that I could re-assemble it accordingly. I have a 1 1/2 year old son who loves nuts, bolt, shafts, springs, anything greasy...etc. He decided that the order that I had everything layed out in was no good, so he 'reoganized' it for me... Anyway, long story even longer, I can't figure out how to hook up the throttle cable to the govener linkage.

I've looked at the parts schematics on the John Deere website, but cant figure out where the cable clamps to the motor.

If anyone has a picture of the font of the motor (just behind the grill) I'd REALLY appreciate it!
I've got everything back together except that part...
(I'm actually pretty amazed that I made it this far considering my son had placed a few bolts in the insulation bewteen the studs, and a few in some random drawers in my toolbox!)

Thanks in advance for any help!

Go to:

Link

Illustration 6-48, on page 57 is SIMILAR to what you have, if you ignore the hand throttle mounted on the engine.

If you need more info post back.
