I have spent endless hours and money in the prcess of getting this mower up to working order. The last aspect it getting the mowing deck hooked up. I was able to hook up all of normaly deck hanging points, but when it comes to the rod that actuates the idler pullies on the deck, I am at a complete loss. I have looked and looked online, at sears IPB(Illustrated Parts Break-down) and have found nothing as to where this rod hooks up to. There is what appears to be like a PTO takeoff on the instrument dash, but the rod is not conformed to hook to that. Can anyone help, or point towards a manual online that might have pics. The best model # I could come up with is 917.272751.

Thanks in Advance
Chris

chris if its the setup im thinkin about isnt the engagement rod curved on both ends.if so one end hooks on the rear part of deck to engage the pulleys and release the blade brakes.the other end goes up towards the frame where a bracket is mounted with a hole for the other end to fit in.when you engage your blades that bracket moes forward to pull tension on the deck bracket and tighten belt.hope this helps.
