I have a 1730 Cub Cadet with twin cylinder kohler engine. After the engine is hot it will not restart iff I shut it off. There is no spark when this happens. It has begun stopped when it is hot now also. Does any one have a suggestion what might cause this problem

Hi bob, in the process of doing mine rite now. ignition module is your problem, i just got done doing alot of different things after listening to alot of these nimrods that write in. like my dealer told me ignition module is the only device making spark , no spark bad module. if you have a low oil sensor on it just pull the wire on the plug (sensor looks like spark plug)this could be faulty and also prevent starting. these guys will tell you it happens when its hot, well i'd mow my 2 acres no problem the next week when i'd go to start her nothing. i have the 1811 cub, got a 18 hp magnum in mine. had to pull the engine, alot of 3/8s sheet metal screws to remove on the muffler baffels. not sure if you have to pull yours. if you do take the mounting plate out instead of 4 mounting bolts it's only 6 holding the plate and much easier to do, if it's anything like my cub. had guys telling 2,4 and 6 hrs to do job, plan on the day my friend. it was easy to do just time consuming. im a house painter but mechanicly inclined, the site i used for parts and diagrams was cortlandmower.com/parts.

I have NEVER professed to be a Super Hero. That is your phase. Seems funny to me, that you beg for free information, then when people take the time and effort to help you with your problem (free of charge), the thanks they get is being called "nimrods". LOOK IN THE MIRROR to see the biggest one. - LMAO
