One way to tell if you have a 48 is to look at the steering. If it is a 48, it should have chain steering which wraps around a barrel at the end of the steering rod. If it doesn"t have chain steering, it doesn"t mean it"s not a 48 as they offered kits for sale to convert the tractor over to the automotive type steering. The sure fire way to tell what year it is is the serial number. This can be found on a metal tag attached to the clutch housing. Let me have that number and I"ll be able to tell you for sure what year your tractor is.

If it is a 48, I do not believe you will find an owners manual for it. They didn"t offer one in that year. There is literature available but I"m not sure how much it will help you.

If you want to restore this tractor or just want to know more about it, you should consider joining a yahoo group for Economy and power King tractors. I own and operate a group for these tractors myself. Email me and I"ll give you the link and an invitation to join.
