Hi, I came across this thing at a local flea market. Its about half the size of ridding mower and has a briggs engine. The mower deck is bolted to the frame and it has a gear box just in front of the seat. The little thing is called a Mustang. Can anyone provide me with information about this mower? Thanks, Glen

I had one given to me about ten years ago. Smoked like crazy but ran great This one had a briggs 5hp I beat the crap out of it took the moter out and brought the rest to the dump.
I saved the motor cause it ran so good, I plan on rebuilding it.
Around here you could get them at K-mart.

Had one back in the 70's. Great little riding "tractor"..... .. Very basic, forward, reverse, non-adjustable cutting height. I have to say, that thing was tough. I probably cut 1 1/2 acres of grass every week, and it did it without a problem, along with hauling my 250 lbs. along with it. Used it for three years before upgrading to a Wheel Horse tractor, and it was still going strong..... .. Wish I had it back, I guess they are very collectable now. Enjoy yours..... ..

I've seen them at shows...cute little things. I know that Huffy marketed something like it for a while in 6, 7, and 8hp. They also only had fwd and rev, no other gears.

No quick change here Re: Anyone ever hear of a Mu in reply to Glen Thibodeaux, 08-13-2006 19:50:48
Yep! Had one bought it new in 1970, yellow with white trim They were dirt cheap New for $125.00 they really were a basic mower preset cutting height, only way to change the height was to unbolt the deck and install spacers or take them out. No quick change here ;((
