does a 1811 cub cadet have a cast or aliminumn rear end? and also is the body style the same or simmular to a 782? looking at buying one need to no some info. thanks scott

Some 782 series had a cast iron transmission i.e. the IH and VERY early CCC buiilt red series. The 1811 will have unless someone has changed over rearends an aluminum rear end. I wonder why you ask. If you are looking for reliability then both rearends hold up very well. Like anything if you abuse it you will lose it. If you want to plow then both will also work. You have to on both types of trannys make sure to use the correct bolts and torque to spec when installing a three point or Brinly hitch system.

The 1811 is the same as a 782 except a tad newer and has a Kohler M-18 for a motor.
