i was wondering what size battery i need for a 1966 cub cadet 122 and what problems i can expect to get it to run after sitting for two years with fuel in the fuel system

Ive found only regular lawn and garden batteries fit under the hood, assuming the 122 battery is where the 124 battery goes. Only difference is which side pos and neg go...get the correct one. Fuel sitting for 2 years, assume its all bad. remove and flush the tank with carb cleaner. I'd also take the carb apart, flush with Hog Wash, blow out all passages with compressed air, reassemble with all new gaskets. Use fresh gas with Sea Foam just for good measure.

The fuel should be drained. The fuel system should be cleaned up, and perhaps a Carb Rebuild Kit.

My suggestion is get the largest CCA battery you can find, that fits into the battery tray of your tractor. You should be able to find something in the 300CCA+ range.
