I have a 18hp twin cyld engine has no spark in either cylinder please help THANKS

I was wrong about the hp it is 26. I tried what you guys told me I have not found the diode just a connection where both small coil wires are tied together no power there up to coils Im lost

I read an article about these engines having problems with these coils/modules not lasting very long. Someone posted a response and said he thinks the battery voltage is getting to the modules and ruining them. You could check your wiring to this module with a volt meter with the ignition on and there should not be any voltage present. Hal

Could be the coil/electronic module that is defective. I think the part number is 394891 you can call this toll free number probably on Tuesday
along the engine's model and type numbers. They can tell you if that is the right number, if it is they have them for around $30.00. Hal

If eng mounted on tractor,locate & disconnect ign kill lead coming from ign sw at eng,crank eng,if you have spark now,it's one of the safety sw's on tractor or possibly the ign sw,if still no spark,then problem on eng,bad diode lead,ign module or oil pressure sw(if eng has).
