They are 16*6.50*8 in size. Where can I find some? My theory is that it would steer better in the snow with the blade on. Also I like the looks of them. Anyone out there have a picture of a cub with "bars on the front?" I have bar tires on the rear already. ////////
Also they dont mash the grass down so much....there is still grass stuanding up between the bars..... .

try www.cedarrapidstire.com www.millertire.com www.northerntool.com All three should have superlug/bar type tires in 16x6.5-8. That size/type is used on some bigger tillers. Other tires to consider for the front in snow are "snow hog" and tri-rib. A slightly less agressive tire to consider is called "HDAP" for heavy duty all purpose tires. They are the same tread design as you see on a lot of the newer JD garden tractors. They look somewhat like an ATV tire with lots of lugs on them that look like half of the letter "X". I think only miller tire has tri-rib tires which are made by Firestone. Tri rib tires are like the front tires on a farm tractor. I have bar/lug type tires on the back of my 85 Toro 117 Groundsmaster. They do turn better but can really tear up the grass when its wet and or you are not carefull.

I have them on the front of my 1450. Looks pretty cool, kinda makes it look like it has FWA on it. LOL I think they were like $35-40 a tire, but not sure, could check for u if u want. I think it makes it steer better in soft stuff, snow, mud, etc.

Not an uncommon size/design in snowblower/tiller tires, however "bar" or "chevron" ag tread seems to always be the pricey-est design in any size.I prefer the look of the 3 rib farm tractor type fronts now made for garden tractors.
