I am looking for some engine parts for a 5hp B&S engine.Are they still available at dealers?Carb. gaskets and throttle parts.....

What model engine is it? in 1956, I am not aware that Briggs made a "5hp" engine. I see a lot of 5S engines on David Bradley tractors, that is actually a 5 cubic inch engine. and rate at about 2 hp, if memory serves me right.

Hi JT,Yes it's a 5hp B&S model#14 I believe.On the Bradley website it shows it as a 5 hp special.
I printed the manual off that site.I was told by the fellow that gave it to me that it was running before he put the engine in the barn(about 20+ years ago)

OK, Maybe Bradley called that a 5hp, but that was normally classified as a 6hp, but that is not important, if it is a model 14, then the carb parts are still available, the carb kit, if memory serves me right, could be a Briggs part number 394693. If you need any other info, let me know. Jim
