Hi Everybody, We brought home a old side delivery rake it is a faded orange. Were there any other companies besides Allis Chalmers that had the color orange? Did Allis Chalmers have implements? We have no clue other than it is orange. Thank you!!

A year or so ago I saw an AC pto rake sell at auction. Went for $500....way more than I was able to pay, although it seemed to be in great shape. Got a Ferguson DEO 25 last spring for $175.

AC made a pto driven side delivery rake from the late 40s, at leaqst well into the 50s. Had a hi-lo speed and reverse for tedding.

I have what I think is an AC PTO driven rake. There is a gear box with two spline shafts coming out it, one to reverse the rake. Fluffs and rakes great when it works. The gearbox - chain drive system is kind of flimsy. I hope to reinforce the weak points over the winter. I wondered if anybody knew the model number of a rake like this.

I have an original version of the A-C tedder/rake that has a gearbox with a shifter on it. The one with the two splined shafts where you move the PTO from one to the other to change direction of bar rotation replaced the original version (which was identified only as the A-C rake) and is known as the #7.

Yes, Allis Chalmers had apretty full line of field equipment. Most of it pu;ll behind, but some planters, cultivators and mowers were mounted in the 30s followed by pickers, plows, rakes (simi mounted) in the 40s. New Idea had an orange colour on the frame with greenish wheels
