the guy from john deere gave me the number for this company (T.H.E. Company) that has aftermarket gauges made for john deere with glass lenses. here is the number 319-385-3114 or 800-634-4885

Remember, unstyled tractors get the white faced gauge and styled get the black face gauge.

i hate to differ with someone but all the lettered series had white face guages. the blacks didnt come out until the first numbered series

They didn't use the black faces until the models 40, 50,60,70,80. Most of my A,B,H tractors have black faces in them because that's all you could buy a few years back until the reproductions came about.

I JUST BOUGTH NEW WHITE FACED GAUGES FROM JOYCE DULIN @ ANTIQUE GAUGES IN, I THINK, NEW YORK.

I BELIEVE THESE TO BE THE BEST YOU CAN GET. LOOK FOR AD IN TWO-CYLINDER OR GREEN MAG.

I bought some white face gauges for my B. After receiving them I learned they have plastic lens.

Since then I have seen ads for gauges and they clearly state glass lens. I would make sure you got the glass lens....
