During engine break-in period, should I retorque the head bolts while the engine is hot, warm, or cold?

when it is hot is when the most strain is on the head and head bolts so let it get as cool as possible.

Let it get hot then cool down. the head should be warm, not HOt, You should be able to put your hand on it.
