I just had a machine shop overhaul the motor in my 2N.They put in sleeves, pistons, rings, bearings, new valves cam gear , crank gear and adjustable lifters. It runs and starts good but it makes a ticking noise.Im assuming its a lifter tick it has good oil pressure,I dont think it is an exuast leak.when you rev it up it quiets down, but when its ideling it makes the most noise ,espescially when warmed up.Has any one experienced this whats it sound like?thanks

Get a mechanic's stethoscope and probe for the origin of the sound. Have you adjusted the valves since the overhaul? They may have missed one, but they need periodic adjustment anyway. Other possible causes may be a loose front pulley, a timing gear hitting one of the rear timing cover bolts if they used one that was a tad too long, the distributor rotor hitting a contact in the cap, the generator or even a loose spark plug. It's hard to diagnose a sound without hearing it, doncha know?
