Thanks ahead of time for any response. I replaced my oil gauge with a newer looking unit. It looks the same with the exception that the numbers go higher. Before I was getting no oil pressure on the original gauge. I hit the old archives and learned quite a bit. My reading now is close to 20lbs. at full throttle. I did a line check to see if there was any blockage. None what so ever. I should add that I have had this tractor for 3 years now and have made a lot of progress. Is 20lbs of pressure alright for my tractor? No problem with performance, It has helped us clean up a lot on our property and even towed the trucks when stuck with not even a cough. It's running great and I want to make sure I keep it that way. Any help is greatly appreciated. Rob

10 lbs. per 1000 rpm's should be sufficient.

My 51 with a 9 year old completely rebuilt engine runs 20-25 psi at 1500 rpm pulling a bush hog and about 10 psi at hot idle-a little lower on real hot days. I use 30W Pennsoil.

20# hot full throttle is probably good. My 8N gets 35 cold full, 21 hot full, 12# hot idle. I'm content with these numbers. My 2¢. Steve 8N 169302
