I just realized that between last winter and this winter, I learned how draft control works.

Should I use it with my back blade (forward motion) to clear snow?

I found that if I try to use draft control instead of position control I move a lot of gravel I didn't want to move. As I said yesterday, there is more art than science to plowing with a back blade and experience is going to be the best teacher.

Rob,

I suspect that depends upon just how you are using the blade. Are you angling the blade to turn the snow to one side? Or are you just pulling a bunch of snow out of the way, one "load" at a time?

Only you can really answer your question by 'xperment'N with and without using draft control. What I suspect is that you will find some situations will need draft control and some will not. AND a bunch you will not notice any real difference between the two modes.

Of course, as Clause says, "your mileage may vary!" :-)

Regards,
Larry

I will experiment. I use it with an angle and turn the snow to the side.
