hello all,gettin ready to put snow chains on the old girl (1941 9n). hit the key and that click sound show up? well put tester on battery and sure enough only 9 volts (sits outside)FARMALL in the garage. luckly i have one of those jump pac thingys and she come to life. then next bad thing of the day left rear brake was tight got her in the garage to put chains on (remember). jack tractor up spin wheel is tight in forward but releases backwards jiggle brake pedal when tight and push wheel back it releases. what is wrong broken spring? any one had this problem on there 9n?

You should just use the Farmall, or isn't it as good....lol. Why is it the antiques sit in a garage and the workhorses sit outside? Anyway, the end of the rod that goes into your brakehub sometimes gets gummed up.....most of the time if you just lift it with your foot, you can stop the brake drag....clean it when it gets warm....it's a really messy job.

Not so much a pain, as I think they were used more and allot harder than some other brands of tractors. Therefor, they are wore more than the other tractors. Give the ol girl a break!!!
