Just make sure the parts came from the same tractor, They need to be matched. Ford had 2 different ones, Standard and H.D., Some could have more wear on one compared to the other.

As long as you're in there pull that pump and clean it up good. replace any gaskets, and a new releif valve wouldn't be a bad idea. While you are in the back of the tractor, throw the NAA Hydraulic piston in there, and an O ring. Hey, as long as you're at it, time to redo the brakes, and put in a sure seal setup too. And if you are seeing leakage from the lower lift arms pivots, fix it NOW! I haven't fixed mine yet but it is on the list for sure. It'd be agreaat time to clean up the outsides of all teh castings with a wire wheel(Wear eye protection!!!!!)and get a coat of paint back there. While you're cleaning out resevoirs, flush out that tranny!(You know the oil is mixed between all three, tranny, hyd, and rear?) Can you see why I haven't actually finished an N yet? Thank God they are simple!

I found a crack where the front pinion bearing rides. Thats why I had to change the rear housing. Good luck& play safe.
