I looked at Jubilee for cale, and the steering has a problem. It turns fine left, but when you try to steer right it goes only a small amount then it feels like you have run into a brick wall. Are the sterring gears easy to rebuild? I like the tractor even though it has an axle seal leak as well. The asking price is $2450.
Thanks!

If these are the only things wrong with it, I would buy it in a minute (if the wife would let me). In my area it would probably sell for $1000 more. Don't believe either of these are big problems and they will give you a lot of enjoyment in working on them. Just be sure to get an I&T manual No. FO-19 and you'll have no problem getting thru the repairs. Good luck and let us know if you buy it. Mike OH

Rob,
I have the same problem with my 8N. Following the advice of some on this board I filled the box with grease an poured some oil down the steering shaft. It helped some after working the tractor for a while. I also jacked up the front end and worked the grease into the gears. It's better but a long way from turning to the right as easy as to the left.I will try to do a rebuid on it someday if it gets worse than it is now. Good luck with your purchase.
Dennis
