I am going to be in Florida the first three weeks in August on business. I figure if I'm going to travel 3000 miles one way there ought to at least be a tractor show to go to somewhere. Can anybody help me out? I'm going to be in Cape Canaveral.

Thanks.

In Waldo on 301 they have a big antique tractor and power show in the winter I think. there is a big used equipment dealer there, and I used to see a lot of N's etc on 301 between Jacksonville and Ocala.

Sure do get there, one of my favorite stops is the big antique mall on the SE side of town, hwy 400. The owner is a big collector of petroliana and has many White Eagle gas items. I spend hours talking gas pumps with him. No N's but does have a perfectly restored ford gas delivery truck from about 39-40.

Tractor shows are few and far between in these parts, especially in the dead of summer. Florida Flywheelers shows are in the Oct, Jan. and Feb., mostly old engines, but more and more tractors each year. The Cape is just South of me by 60 miles and there are some farms in the area and a few tractor collectors, mostly of the red or green persuasion.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't thinking about the climate differences very well, I guess. Summers are the ONLY good times (well, as far as weather is concerned) to have tractor shows around here. And since I will be spending 3 weeks of August down your way, that equates to about half the summer here in the Seattle area. ;-)

Never looked up Enumclaw (till now)but am familiar with Seattle weather, was there in in late May to mid June, we enjoyed it! When we went up to Hey Busdrivers area we had one good day and some bad Weather especially at Victoria. Also saw the WY guys home towns again, got the WY history book that NormWy suggested at Adams bookstore right in Laramie, his home town. Also got a real clean Ford Tractor Almanac in the Antique shop downstairs. Also covered JohnCO's territory as well as OK, TX, AR, MO and points in between there & FL. Home a week and did two weeks of KY, OH, MI & IN, hope to get some work done before on the road again. It is GREAT to be able to see America and our fine neighbor to the north! All persons that frequent this board may see me one day as if and when time allows I may wander down your road. This last trip I had a schedule but not the usual for me, I like looking for old Ford tractors! God Bless the USA and Canada!

You got a good taste of the northwest during that time frame, alright. We had a better than usual June up here, so I really shouldn't complain. In fact, when I read about tornados in the midwest, hurricanes in your area, extreme heat and cold in other places, I'm pretty darn happy with where I am, to be sure. It sounds like you had a fantastic trip all around, one to be envious of....
