I have 9N #52606 and need help with the front hub
differences. It came with one 9N hub and one 8N hub and I am restoring it to original. I have found several 9N hubs, but, none seem to fit. They all will go on, but, they all have a gap on the back of 1/4". The hub that is on the left, an original, fits and has part #9N 1106A1 the one that does not fit is #1106, no letters. I also have hubs marked 9N 1106A3 that also do not fit. Any body know what this is about and can I just turn the inner bearing stop ledge a 1/4" deeper and get it to fit.

Maybe Zane will jump in here, but if it is a 8N hub could it not also be a 8N spindle? Was there a difference in the 8 and 9 spindles? Both of mine are 9s so I can't help much

Are you able to get the hubs/wheel snug and tight on the spindles? or, does the wheel remain somewhat loose with a wobble after you tighten the bearings onto the spindle? I have about 1/4"-3/16" gap between the hub and the spindle..but I made a felt gasket for it to keep debris out. But I do have a slight slight wobble, trying to snug the bearings to the spindle assembly...and don't know enough if this is normal or to be expected... I'm curious to see if you have the same dilemma's and more curious to know if there is a solution. -9N'er
