Winch?

What's involved with this? I know four-wheel ATV's carry small 12V winches, so I am assuming my 8N is capable of the same. On some sort of front bumper attachment? What would be the torque of something like this? Attached to a large tree, could I pull the tractor out of reasonable "stickage?"

I DON'T want a PTO winch.

There's nothing special to it. It bolts down to a flat plate with 4 bolts, so I guess you would have to add a metal plate to your front bumper. It's 12 volts, and I imagine a 6 volt winch would be hard to find these days, so I hope your tractor has been converted to 12v.

My winch works fine, and has got me out of trouble lots of times. One thing about the Ozarks, most anyplace you can get stuck is within a cable length of an oak, hickory, or walnut tree - so we always have something to hook to!
