The top link will be the only color (red) in this otherwise B&W picture of a scoop. Rear Scoop And here is a side view of a scoop. Rear Scoop from side. You can get a top link from several sources. The most common one is adjustable, a lot like a turn buckle, having each end threaded, one right hand and the other left hand. The only problem is that these do not fit into the shallow top link rocker on the rear of the tractor - where the spring is. You will need to trim off some of the edge of one end so that it does not bind, rather swings up and down freely. A caution, if you force the top link into or it binds as you raise and lower an implement, you could risk breaking the cast iron top link rocker - a VERY BAD thing to do - don't ask me why! :-) SAFETY NOTE: Since I mentioned the top link rocker at the top of the tractor I MUST say, "NEVER, BUT NEVER hook to the top link rocket to pull ANYTHING!!!" That is a SURE way to get killed! Always pull from a drawbar that is positioned lower than the bottom of the rear axle. That is where the lift arms are attached and they do ALL the pulling on an implement. The top link is there to sense the draft in draft mode and to provide a hinge point in position mode. See lower posts if you do not know about draft/position modes. HTH Larry
