Is it ok to weld with a arc welder on a tractor as long as you remove the battery cables? I have a 2n that I need to weld on ,and don`t want to burn up any thing electical. thanks BIG YANK FL. E R draper

i go with Don, Ground as close to the weld as possible. This will assure you don't senmd that current through any bearings, they don't like that. I also dis connect the battery so stray current don't fry something.

Never had a problem with doing it. Make sure you get a good ground and I like to put it closer to the weld incase it ain't so good it don't arc out as many things.
